| Well, here I am!
We have internet acess in the hotel, so I can update you all, even though there isn't too much too update about, at least until I move in!
We drove for 18 or so hours yesterday. I think that's the hardest part about going away- the trip there. You don't really have much else to do besides think about everyone at home. Being able to talk to my parents about school, leaving home, etc was really good though, it helped me get a better perspective, and definitely a more God-centered perspective. I was reminded of a quote by Jim Elliot which goes something like this: "Let not our longing slay the appetite of our living." It is a really good principle to live by!
So now that I'm here all I really want to do is get settled into my new home(which will have to wait a few days) start meeting new people (my roomate included), you know, start doing collegey-things : )
Oh, and also a big thank you to everyone who came to my going-away party! It meant so much to see you all there : ) And even if you didn't come, I still love you, don't worry  seriously though, you all have been so encouraging and supportive- it's great to know I have so many people supporting me and praying for me!
And if you don't have my email/phone number, let me know so I can get it to you somehow!
That's all for now, I'm off to see the Windy City after a short stop in Wheaton to show the rest of my family the school.

| - Clarityso I decided that I'm really bad at this whole updating thing.....
There is definitely not enough time to write about everything that has happened in the past few months. so here are the highlights:
-Graduation in May
-Work in June/July/Part of August
-Best friend married August 5th
-Going away party last Friday
-Leaving in a matter of hours and driving up to school in Wheaton, IL!
There are a few other details in there that will most likely be related in a later message : )
For now let's just say that God has overwhelmed me with his faithfullness, and caused me to rest in His sovreignty like I never have before. That pretty much sums it up!
so I suppose the next update will be from the general area of Chicago!

God is refining, moving, changing me, changing our youth group. pray. hard. for renewal, for healing, for passion.
sooooo. I'm ready to graduate. I'm excited to see what God has in store. It's just making it till graduation.....wait. no. stop. I have a month left of highschool, this is is the month the Lord has made....I will rejoice and be glad in it. remind me to persevere and not complain. please.

this saturday. norfolk zoo. I'm walking! woohoo! pray for the crisis pregnancy center ministry. pray for the young women out there struggling with decisions, with burdens, pray that they would find their answers in the life God gives.

| I really should be doing a lot of homework right now.....hmmm.
so I decided. I'm going to Wheaton this fall, and I'm really excited!! and relieved!
on a slightly less exciting note.....my orthodontist said the braces will indeed be coming off in May, on my next appointment, whenever that may be. Then he told me that I really can keep them on if I want too....he finds himself so amusing 
lately I've been thinking a lot about how good God is to me- I am so so so blessed and yet I still find things to complain about....excuse me, but what is with that?
as Laci says.....if you hear me complain, would you please pat me on the head and remind me to stop complaining

em comes home- much excitement! geez I can't wait to hear all about it

I got this letter today, and you know what it said? something along the lines of.....
Congratulations Jessica, we are pleased to inform you of your acceptance into the Wheaton Conservatory of Music!!!!!!
excited? just a little. Not necessarily because I know for sure that's where I'm going to be (even though it is my first choice...) but because it was such a stressful process applying, and.....it's Wheaton!
I see God working through all my questions, guiding my rather indecisive mind, and helping to be wise and discerning. It's incredible. His Holy Spirit leads me, His hand guides me, He is sovereign over my life. It's hard to explain sometimes, just believe me when I say..... He is awesome!
